President assent to Direct Tax Vivad Se Vishwas Bill, 2020 on 17th March, 2020

Direct Tax Vivad Se Vishwas Bill, 2020 got the assent of President on 17th March, 2020 and has become the Direct Tax Vivad Se Vishwas Act, 2020 (VSVS) (the Act) . The Act will help Government to reduce Litigation on Direct Taxes and also offer an opportunity to taxpayers to get rid of litigation by opting in this Scheme.
